Communication poles should not be confused with light poles. The allowable deflection of a light pole in wind would typically prevent communication equipment from operating correctly. Poles utilised for supporting communication equipment normally need to meet very stringent deflection criteria. Communication poles come in every shape and size and are sometimes mid-hinged for ease of maintenance. Standard pole heights are 10.0m to 30.0m depending on customer’s requirements. Every product supplied by GM Poles is designed and certified by an Australian Registered Engineer.

Property Poles / Mains connection poles are used to bring power from the mains line onto the property.  GM Poles holds the current Energex & Ergon contracts, our property poles are available in ‘Standard Entry’ and ‘Large Entry’ depending on what size aerial connection is being utilised.
